Prompts

Introducing, you.

Writing is quite the process, isn’t it?

Good writing requires reading, critical thinking, analysis, and creativity. It can be compared to the process of breathing. We inhale information and somehow filter, recreate, and repurpose the information as we exhale. Good writing is palatable and relatively easy with practice of the practicals of writing. However, great writing is savory to the soul. Outside of the mechanics of writing, have you ever wondered why that is?

Writing is all about the author. Their perspective, their ability to explain their concepts, and the way they create from imagination with words and feelings are all very unique. When a writer is wholeheartedly themselves, even with a small degree of uncertainty, the reader can tell. Great writing evokes deep emotions, challenges thought, and sparks ideas. All of this engendered from the mind of the writer.

I encourage all of the writers to continue on their journey through self. Use your reflections and written explorations to elevate us readers beyond our reality. Ask more questions and harp on the hard ones stubbornly until you get the answers you seek. Contest your own wisdom against others to sharpen your skills and reveal the unknown. Dear author, we need you and we are excited to meet you.
